Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer best recognized for her roles was as the character of Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The television series The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University in African-American Studies. The Tisch school of the arts, New York University she earned an MFA. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actress, producer and director who has worked in both film and television. Her career in acting began at the theater. Later, she was a part of several television shows in independent films, mainstream and film. The actress was famous for her role as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as in BET's huge The Book of Negroes. The series both received praise from critics, and she also received a number of awards. Her first professional performance was in the role of Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. On Broadway, she has appeared on stage in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Film-wise she is most famous for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. On television her regular role in the ABC's crime drama series High Incident has earned her praises.
